Announcements:

Course Descriptions: Click this link to find more information about courses offered at DHS.

Seniors - The FAFSA will open on December 1 for the 2025-26 school year. If you are considering a two year, four year, career or technical college next fall, YOU should complete the FAFSA!  Not sure where to start?  Contact Ms. Hawley for FAFSA help, or schedule an appointment with your parent/guardian for one on one assistance with completing your application. Create your FSA ID here https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch before starting your application here https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid

Juniors and Seniors - Need to take a college entrance exam?
Visit www.sat.org to register for the SAT, or www.actstudent.org for the ACT. Not sure which one to take? Stop by my office and we'll weigh out your options. Most schools will accept either one, but to be sure, check with the college of your preference. Both test monthly throughout the year. Juniors, I recommend waiting until the March administration or later for your first exam. Seniors, to test or retest for a better score, you'll want to have your final attempt in by the November administration for college applications and January administration for scholarships.  Keep in mind that we offer the School Day SAT annually in October and March for seniors and juniors respectively. Good luck, and don't forget the study materials available online and in our library!

Free Official SAT Practice: Visit SATpractice.org for fantastic SAT prep including practice questions, full length practice tests, diagnostic quizzes, tutorials and more! These cleverly designed tools will help you focus your practice to do your best on the test. Khan Academy is partnering with College Board to provide you with the best materials possible, and best of all, they are free!
