Welcome to Lincoln County Virtual
Lincoln County Virtual is an affiliate online program of the Davenport School District partnered with Edmentum to provide a flexible yet rigorous academic experience. Our students benefit from full online support provided by Washington State-accredited teachers. Upon successful completion of the program, students are celebrated for their achievement with a Lincoln County Virtual diploma.
Admissions & Registration
Our school year follows the official Davenport School District calendar, ensuring families stay synchronized with local breaks and holidays. Enrollment is open for two primary windows:
-Fall Semester Deadline: September 30th
-Spring Semester Deadline: January 31st
Note: While live sessions through Edmentum begin on August 15, students enrolling later can catch up using recorded lessons and provided support materials.
Curriculum & Academic Expectations
Our program provides a comprehensive curriculum covering all core and elective courses. Students should prepare for a commitment of 28+ hours per week.
Course Load Requirements
-Grades K–5: Students enroll in five core classes Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies and may choose one additional elective.
-Grades 6–12: To maintain full-time status and stay on track for graduation, students must enroll in six courses to reach the necessary credits for a 24-credit diploma.
The Role of Parents
Success in virtual learning is a partnership.
-K–5 Parents: Act as vital coaches, mentors, and technical guides for their students.
-6–12 Parents: While students work more independently, parents provide necessary assistance to ensure students maintain an appropriate pace.
-Communication: All parents are included in weekly or monthly communications from Edmentum teachers to stay informed of student progress
Attendance & Support Services
Progress Check-ins
To meet state attendance requirements, students will have regular contact with our ALE Teacher, Leah Silvieus, or Coordinator, Jennifer Hargrave:
-Weekly: Check-ins conducted via email, phone, or video calls.
-Monthly: Progress contacts conducted via phone, in-person, or video call
In-Person Assistance
Students needing extra help can access in-person support at Lincoln County Pathways Academy (located next to the middle school) during the following hours:
-Tuesdays & Thursdays: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
-Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays: 2:50 PM – 4:00 PM
An appointment is not necessary, but it ensures that the correct staffing is available.
State Testing Requirements
Participation in grade-appropriate state testing is a mandatory component of our program. Please be advised that students who fail to complete their required state exams will not be eligible to return to Lincoln County Virtual the following school year.
